Breakdown and accident tow-truck service

If your car cannot be driven because of a breakdown or an accident, we will arrange a tow-truck to assist you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This tow-truck service is free when taken to the nearest approved repair shop, irrespective of the distance. If you prefer to choose your own repair shop, the first 10 km are free, and any further distance towed will be charged to the customer.

Breakdown assistance services (main services)

1. Unlocking the car if your keys become locked inside (a charge may apply if it involves a specialized operation).
2. Starting your car with jumper cables if you have a flat battery.
3. Changing your tire to the spare if you get a flat.
4. Hoisting your car out of a drain, etc. if a wheel (one wheel) goes over the edge.
5. Other light mechanical repairs, such as plug replacement (for repairs of around 30 minutes).

Note 1)	Coverage applies to all areas of Japan, and your home.
Note 2)	The cost of replacement parts will be charged to the customer.
Note 3)	Before receiving service, valid documentation must be provided to the service representative. The customer may be charged directly if this documentation cannot be provided at the time of service.
Note 4)	An additional fee is required if two or more wheels must be hoisted (from a drain, etc.).

AIU Drive-In Service (Affiliated Auto-Repair Shop Service)

Seeing the motorization of Japan, AIU was one of the first to offer automobile insurance. With a history of over 20 years, AIU Drive-In Service offers nation-wide repair services for accidents.

Free substitute vehicle.

Lifetime guarantee on repairs.

Emergency fee for partial damage to vehicle (5% of vehicle damage insurance, up to 50,000 yen) (provided that your vehicle is one of the 5 types of owner-driver car, that you have vehicle damage insurance and your vehicle has been repaired)(Not applicable for total loss of vehicle) ※ Owner-driver car (standard-sized, small-size, minicar) and owner-driver truck (small-size, minicar). (Not applicable on rental cars and vehicles stipulated as special purpose on automobile inspection certificate).

10% discount on labor charge, and 1% discount on repair parts.
