Contents special clause

An insurance claim can be made for damage to personal property (household contents) belonging to the policy holder, the policy holder’s spouse or immediate family (living in the same house) as a result of accidental breakage, fire, explosion and flood.

The amount to be compensated is calculated to cover the cost of replacing the insured object (same quality, application, size, shape, function) damaged at that time and in that place, minus 5,000 yen to be paid by the owner. In the case of precious metals, jewelry and artwork, the maximum to be paid will be 300,000 yen per piece, up to a maximum of five pieces (1,500,000 yen). |

If the insured object(s) is damaged outside the house, the maximum to be paid will be limited to 500,000 yen. |

The following are not included in the insurance:
Automobiles, motorbikes, bicycles, cellular phones, notebook computers, contact lenses, eyeglasses, stocks and bonds (not including checks), train passes, etc.

Liability for damages special clause
|
|
The policy holder and the policy holder’s family are entitled to an insurance benefit to cover any compensation legally required resulting from an accident causing death or injury to another person, or damage to another person’s property. This coverage does not apply to work-related accidents or accidents involving cars, motorbikes or scooters.

Golfer special clause
|
|
This clause is effective if the policy holder is held legally responsible to compensate another person for an injury or property damage caused as a result of playing or practicing golf. It also provides coverage should the policy holder be injured while playing golf, or if the golf equipment is damaged or stolen. This also covers the cost of a prize for a hole-in-one or albatross. The maximum amount payable is subject to the amount of coverage specified by the contract type.
